Sunday mode.
I haven't updated in awhile, but hey, I'm a busy bee.
Looks like this week is in the books, along with endless summer 09'. Although, the spirit of it will never die. Wednesday was a really fun night in Peterborough. Iris turned 24 and had people over for beers at her apartment. Many, many beers before the bar, which was showing the movie Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The movie was good for a laugh, but I thoroughly enjoyed The Spill's $5 king cans of Old Mill. Again, many beers. The night ended very foggy and on a kitchen floor.
The next day we packed up some of Iris' furniture and hauled it back to Aurora, then hit up Toronto for a bit. We ended up coming home with a fair amount of juicy fruit and bubbling hash, from friends who wanted to offload before the border. I was still so hungover from Peter"bro" I could not indulge in our treats and instead had to sleep it off. Probably a good thing.
Friday, Dara and Reilly came over to help me paint the basement over. If it weren't for them I probably wouldn't be writing this right now. It looks a lot brighter down here now, which makes me happy. Not to mention getting rid of a few things, one so embossed it took five coats of primer to cover. Phew.
We painted well into the night, mostly high on hash the entire time and missed the house show at Alex's. We got a ride back to Aurora and decided to check out the Filly. There was a lineup so we just walked all the way back, getting completely soaked. Not before smoking hash on the fairway of the golf course, huddled under the umbrella. Ella eh?
Last night was a fun time. Dara had her pre-birthday party (pug party) at her place. I was on fire duties, camera duties and partying duties. Every time I'm over at Dara's, the valley really draws me in. I guess it's because my house is on Valleyview and well, we don't have one. Maybe I'll own a cozy little house on the hill one day...

Starry Night.
Endless Summer.
I need to learn to be a little bit more of a risk taker, apparently. This is true. It's just too bad that I won't be able to take that risk with you.
On a happier note, yesterday was another endless day of summer. Brad and I went on a road trip to North Bay to check out To Cherish/Dead and Divine. It was my first prolonged trip inside a convertible and boy was it all that. I'd never been up that far north but now I hope to go even further the next time. Thunder Bay perhaps...

P.O.W. Camp 30
A couple of weeks ago, I had a chance to check out a P.O.W. Camp 30 with some pals. The hour drive to Bowmanville was well worth it. There they held higher officials from the Nazi army during War War 2, and after was maintained as an Islamic school. There were several buildings in all, Adam's house, the cafeteria, dorm room and best of all the Gymnasium/Pool. Here's some photos from the day, I'll put up some more later.
