New Point and Shoots.

I took a little trip over to Value Village the other day in search of a couple new cameras. I found three at first, one of which worked (Minolta F10BF). Upon returning the other two, I picked up a simple Vivitar T200 which seems to work like a charm.
Curious about the Minolta, I banged off a roll quickly last night and here's how some of that turned out.

Pissed Halloween.

Thanks to T. Reilly Hodgson for using some of my shots from Pissed Halloween. You can check that shit out right here. http://www.readplatform.com/pissed-halloween/ Congrats on becoming the newest photo editor Thomas. It was a real greasy night, lot's of spillage and living room crowd surfin' going on. I can't agree with TRH enough that Pissed To The Eye are my favorite band to get fuckin' drunk with and to see live. Here's a couple more photos from that night:

Vicious Cycle.

And so, I give this blog another chance.

Still living and dying down in the basement. I locked down two jobs just so I can move out, soon. Here's a few random photos from the past couple of months, all from my Point and Shoot clear shot.

The last long weekend of summer was not too shabby. Unfortunately my parents had to come home early from the cottage on Saturday, but what can ya do. I'm just glad I got the 1 hour notice call because things would have been not good if they came home at random.
This past weekend was spent mostly hanging out in the valley and around the house. The last of the bubbling hash is now gone and that makes me quite upset. Till' next time!

Dara invited me over to her house for Ribfest on Sunday. Glenn sure knows how to cook a rack of ribs. It was such a hoss, I had a hard time staying awake past midnight for once...

Here's a few pictures:

Party in Peterbrobro

Great Lakes.

It's starting to bug me, but no matter what I always wake up here in the worst mood. The room looks better than it ever has, yet this place is toxic for me at the same time. It's been 22 years of nothing changing here, accept us three living on different levels of the house. There's a lot of routine separation here and that's not the kind of atmosphere I was hoping to relive again.
I hope that my grandparents remain here on earth as long as I'm alive. Hanging out with them today was extremely comforting and something I wish could be recorded in time. Ma's getting noticeably slower and more forgetful, which I never thought would never happen in Pa's lifetime. They've been married 61 years and making them dinner tonight actually made my week. Apparently I made there's too because they actually had to set the table up for three. Wishing I had a picture of tonight...

I'll be your passenger...

It feels so refreshing to have my room finished. The cozy light and may apple actually suit each other, thanks John. Not to mention the painting is gone after 8 coats of primer and twice over with the orbital sander. Now I'm on the hunt for an L-shaped couch to fit in the corner. Hopefully Value Village can come through with that sooner than later.

Tomorrow will be the first time since Christmas that I'll get to see Ma and Pa. Usually I'd be up at the cottage half a dozen times throughout the summer at least, but summer was much different living in Aurora. I decided on making dinner tomorrow night and show Ma the famous bacon pasta. Pa's going to be in taste bud heaven!

Happy 22nd Birthday to Dara, you're a palindrome? Hah, yep.

Here's a couple wacky pictures we took on Photo Booth last night. 3 of like 230...

Sunday mode.

I haven't updated in awhile, but hey, I'm a busy bee.
Looks like this week is in the books, along with endless summer 09'. Although, the spirit of it will never die. Wednesday was a really fun night in Peterborough. Iris turned 24 and had people over for beers at her apartment. Many, many beers before the bar, which was showing the movie Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The movie was good for a laugh, but I thoroughly enjoyed The Spill's $5 king cans of Old Mill. Again, many beers. The night ended very foggy and on a kitchen floor.

The next day we packed up some of Iris' furniture and hauled it back to Aurora, then hit up Toronto for a bit. We ended up coming home with a fair amount of juicy fruit and bubbling hash, from friends who wanted to offload before the border. I was still so hungover from Peter"bro" I could not indulge in our treats and instead had to sleep it off. Probably a good thing.

Friday, Dara and Reilly came over to help me paint the basement over. If it weren't for them I probably wouldn't be writing this right now. It looks a lot brighter down here now, which makes me happy. Not to mention getting rid of a few things, one so embossed it took five coats of primer to cover. Phew.
We painted well into the night, mostly high on hash the entire time and missed the house show at Alex's. We got a ride back to Aurora and decided to check out the Filly. There was a lineup so we just walked all the way back, getting completely soaked. Not before smoking hash on the fairway of the golf course, huddled under the umbrella. Ella eh?

Last night was a fun time. Dara had her pre-birthday party (pug party) at her place. I was on fire duties, camera duties and partying duties. Every time I'm over at Dara's, the valley really draws me in. I guess it's because my house is on Valleyview and well, we don't have one. Maybe I'll own a cozy little house on the hill one day...

Starry Night.

On the way home from North Bay, Brad and I had the idea of taking pictures of the night sky. It's a lot different than home. Thanks to Brad, feast your eyes on these!

Check out more of Brad's photographs. Do it.
